| ODM cases- Customized reader modules |
We provide customized reader modules for most ID and payment applications. Major functions include reading/writing magnetic cards,
IC cards, SAM cards and RF cards. The followings are two examples: |
 |
| |
|
| |
1.Customer requirements: |
| |
The customer originally had a motorized card printer which could print personal information on each card (photo and text).
He aimed to combine the both functions of card-printing and card-encoding. The final product would be able to read/write
the magnetic stripe on a card when printing. And it would be suitable for the job of personalizing a small and medium quantity of cards. |
| |
|
| |
2.Benefits: |
| |
This case combines the technologies of two companies. The customer is good at card-printing and motorized
precision machinery designing. Singular Technology is specialized at magnetic stripe encoding.
The new product will have more abilities and high added-values. |

4.Customized magnetic stripe encoding module: |
| |
The module includes the three following parts.
●Triple track, HICO/LOCO and Read/Write Magnetic head
●Optical Encoder
●Control board |
| |
|
| |
|
| |
5.Features of the encoding module: |
| |
●ISO 7811 compliance
●Support writing single, dual, and triple track for one command
●Support writing HICO / LOCO magnetic card (300~2750 Oe)
●Bitmap read/write functions
●UART interface 24V DC power supply, static current = 60 mA, max current = 260 mA
●Customized control board dimension
●DLL and OCX software components for Windows systems |

Customer requirements |
| |
The customer originally had a Taxi POS system which was used for cash transactions.
He aimed to add contact IC card and contactless IC card functions to the POS system,
so their customers could pay taxi fees through cards. It could make transactions more
convenient without using change and shorten the time of transactions. |
